Currently Asher Community Health Center is able to perform this test in-house, and there is NO CHARGE for administering the “ID NOW” screening diagnostic test for Covid-19.
This “zero cost to the patient” policy relates to the Covid-19 screening tests where the patient’s sample is taken by ACHC, and it is analyzed using the ID NOW equipment located at ACHC.
There are two parts to the Covid-19 diagnostic testing: Taking the sample, and performing the analysis.
If for some reason a patient’s sample is going to be sent forward to an outside lab, there could be a lab fee generated by that particular lab.

Asher Community Health Center is pleased to announce the receipt of supplemental federal grant support to assist our clinic. The support is specifically focused on COVID-19, to provide patient care and to deal with challenges associated with the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Asher Board of Directors is currently reviewing the federal award to assure our strict adherence to the specific grant guidelines and restrictions.
The projects or programs subsequently implemented will be clearly identified as supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and as part of an award with a percentage financed with nongovernmental sources. The contents of the programs or projects are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of, nor an endorsement, by HRSA, HHS or the U.S. Government.
